AZO testing
With the improvement of living standards, consumers have increasingly stringent requirements for the quality of garments and textiles. The banned azo dye can be broken down into carcinogens and seriously affect human health. Moreover, this type of dye is usually colorless and odorless, which cannot be sensed by human sensory organs. Even washing does not reduce its hazard. As a result, domestic and foreign textile standards have banned this type of dye.
Testing products: garments, bedding, towels, wigs, false eyebrows, hats, diapers and other cleaning and hygiene products, sleeping bags, shoes, gloves, watch belts, handbags, purses, briefcases, chair covers, toys with textiles, synthetic dyes, organic compound dyes, consumer fabrics and yarns, etc.
Test standards: GB/T 17592-2006, ISO 14362-1:2017, ISO 14362-3:2017, ISO 17234-1:2015, ISO 17234-2:2011
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) testing
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) is a highly effective anti-mildew agent widely used in furniture and footwear industries. It may cause skin allergies, rashes or burns when used excessively. On March 17, 2009, the European Commission adopted a Draft Directive 2009/251/EC requesting member states to ensure products containing the biocide dimethyl fumarate shall not be put onto or sold on the market after May 1, 2009.
a. The content of dimethyl fumarate in products or product parts shall not exceed 0.1 mg/kg (0.1 ppm)
b. Desiccant and mildew proofing bags containing dimethyl fumarate shall not be used in products and packages.
